NEO bulls are looking at a roadmap that takes the token from its current levels to as much as $60.65 by 2030. That's roughly a 10x move. For 2026, the consensus sits more conservatively at $6.20, suggesting a slower climb over the next 18 months before momentum accelerates deeper into the decade.
The numbers sound ambitious until you consider where NEO came from. Launched back in 2014, NEO positioned itself as the "Ethereum of China," a blockchain designed to power a smart digital economy from the ground up. The pitch was clean. The execution, however, has proven messier.
Why 2030 looks different from today
Price projections this far out rest on assumptions about adoption, ecosystem growth, and whether NEO can finally break through the noise. The token needs real builders, not just speculators betting on a pump. More partnerships with enterprise clients and stronger competition in the DeFi space would help justify those higher valuations.
Right now NEO sits in a crowded middle ground. It has enough history and infrastructure to seem credible, but not enough momentum to match Ethereum's dominance or the agility of newer chains. The gap matters. A $6.20 target in 2026 assumes the network fixes some of those gaps and gains traction with developers. A jump to $60 by 2030 assumes it becomes genuinely essential.
The credibility question
Whether NEO actually hits these numbers depends less on technical roadmaps and more on whether the market decides the blockchain solves real problems. History shows that bold altcoin forecasts often collapse when reality fails to deliver. The platform has been "about to explode" for years without consistently proving why developers should build there instead of elsewhere.
Still, the token exists in an ecosystem with real enterprise interest in Asia and a loyal core community. If NEO's team executes on scalability improvements and security upgrades over the next few years, the path to five or six dollars becomes plausible. Everything beyond that depends on narrative shifts that no analyst can predict.
