Cryptopasta covers the part of the crypto world that most outlets treat as a footnote. We dig into blockchain infrastructure, early-stage Web3 projects, and the people building things that don't have a Wikipedia page yet. Sometimes that means writing about a protocol nobody has heard of. Sometimes it means going back to a story everyone thought was finished and finding out it wasn't.

We write for people who already know what a wallet is. You won't find "Bitcoin explained for beginners" here, and that's intentional. Our readers are builders, researchers, investors, and curious observers who want context and nuance rather than a headline and a price ticker. If a story takes 1,200 words to tell properly, we give it 1,200 words.

Editorial independence matters to us more than publishing speed. We don't run press releases dressed up as articles, and we don't give favorable coverage because someone bought an ad spot. When we review a project, we look for what could go wrong just as hard as we look for what's promising. The space has enough cheerleaders already.

Cryptopasta started as a newsletter with a very small audience and a lot of opinions. It grew because the writing was honest, not because we optimized anything. We're still figuring things out as the industry itself figures things out, and we'd rather admit uncertainty than fake confidence. That's probably the most accurate thing we can say about how we work.
