Flap, a BNB Chain token launchpad, generated $1.18 million in revenue on August 1. That beat Pump.fun for the first time ever. The milestone marks a stunning reversal for a platform that was pulling in just $28,343 barely two weeks earlier.

The exact numbers tell the story. Flap earned $1,183,980 that day while the entire Pump family, which includes the pump.fun launchpad plus its PumpSwap AMM and trading terminal, brought in $1,103,266. The jump happened fast. July 19 saw Flap at $28,343. By July 30 it hit $541,637. July 31 brought $663,511. Then came the spike. A rough 40x climb in fourteen days, almost entirely from BNB Chain transactions.

The Memecoin Trigger

One token kicked off the surge. 币安人生 ("Binance Life") relaunched on Flap in late July with a fresh contract. The memecoin had exploded more than 3,000% on Four.Meme back in October after Binance co-founder Yi He posted the phrase on X. The relaunch drew traders back in droves. Momentum built fast enough to push Flap into first place by revenue, even if just for a day.

BNB Chain itself has been reshaping its launch ecosystem. Four.Meme, another launchpad on the same chain, briefly flipped Pump.fun in October 2025. But Flap has since absorbed nearly all of that platform's launch flow. Four.Meme's revenue has cratered to about $17,000 a day.

Pump Still Dominates Over Time

One day doesn't erase the gap. Over the past 30 days, the Pump family earned $31.4 million against Flap's $4.42 million. Lifetime revenue tells an even starker tale. Pump sits at $1.22 billion, with more than $1 billion from the pump.fun launchpad alone. Flap has accumulated $52.3 million. Pump.fun's PUMP token, though, has struggled. It traded at $0.0022 on August 3, roughly 75% down from its September 2025 high.

Flap itself launched in June 2024 after winning an ETHGlobal hackathon. It positions itself as a programmable token launchpad with a key difference from Pump.fun. Instead of flat fees, Flap lets creators launch tokens with trading taxes between 1% and 10%, routed to community incentives, treasuries or marketing. Trading tools like GMGN have flagged that some tokens on Flap carry dynamic tax rates that can shift unexpectedly, creating risk for buyers.
