CoinRoutes launched dedicated FIX sessions to crypto market maker Wincent this week, letting institutional clients tap its liquidity without building separate connections. One unnamed taker is live on the connection already, with bilateral credit and pricing deals between each client and Wincent.
The setup adds a distribution channel for Wincent beyond its existing partnerships. Institutions using CoinRoutes can now add Wincent as another liquidity provider while keeping the same order management system, smart routing, and execution tools. No separate API integration needed.
Both sides kept things flexible. Pricing and credit terms stay bilateral between each taker and Wincent. CoinRoutes charges its own platform fee separately, though exact mechanics remain undisclosed. The arrangement is non-exclusive, meaning Wincent can distribute through other OMS platforms and CoinRoutes can add more market makers.
"Our clients do not want to choose between reach and relationships. They want both," CoinRoutes CEO Ian Weisberger said in a statement.
The deal expands Wincent's footprint after it joined Wyden's liquidity network in March, giving banks and brokers on that platform access to its quotes. Layering multiple distribution channels is now standard for market makers hunting institutional volume in crypto.
