Avalanche broke a month-long lull Tuesday evening as AVAX surged 7%, riding fresh momentum from tokenized equity flooding the network. Securitize is on the verge of hitting $1 billion in real-world asset deployments on the blockchain, according to on-chain metrics.
The Upgrade Fueling the Rally
The move coincided with Avalanche's Helicon upgrade going live on Fuji Testnet, a shift that rewires validator incentives and token mechanics from the ground up. The upgrade decouples transaction execution from block generation, letting the network process transfers in parallel rather than sequentially. For node operators, it means auto-staking now runs hands-free, cutting down on manual upkeep. Transaction costs should stabilize too.
As the RWA Foundation noted, this amounts to a massive week for the ecosystem. Beyond the Securitize milestone, tokenized banking assets are gaining traction across the sector, with major financial players now testing stablecoin rails. Avalanche has cracked the top 10 for stablecoin-friendly blockchains, now holding $1.42 billion in stablecoin market cap across its $2.88 billion total ecosystem value. Nearly half of all value locked sits in stablecoins, per CoinGecko data.
The timing matters. After weeks of sideways price action, any technical upgrade paired with real dollar inflows tends to catch trader attention fast. Avalanche's push into RWAs, where traditional assets get wrapped on-chain, represents the kind of institutional bridge that crypto networks have been chasing for years. Securitize handles that plumbing for major firms, so their seven-figure weekly deployments signal real corporate interest, not speculation.
