AS Monaco has finalized the signing of 23-year-old striker Matthis Abline from FC Nantes with a base fee of €25 million, potentially rising to €30 million through performance-based add-ons. This deal, agreed around July 22-23, represents a record outgoing transfer for Nantes, who just faced relegation to Ligue 2.

Abline, a product of Stade Rennais' academy and a France Under-21 international, has committed to a five-year contract with Monaco. Nantes benefits from the sizable transfer fee, which provides key financial support as they prepare for second-division competition.

The add-ons could push the total fee closer to €30 million if Abline excels in Ligue 1 and earns senior national team recognition. Otherwise, Nantes will keep the guaranteed €25 million.
