Worldcoin has issued over 18 million human credentials and enabled more than 450 million uses of its World ID as it steps into Phase 3 of its roadmap. The project, co-founded by OpenAI's Sam Altman, is shifting focus from token incentives to paid proof-of-human verification services for consumer apps, enterprises, and AI agents.

Previously relying on WLD token rewards to encourage signups, Worldcoin now promotes utility through verification fees paid by applications, while keeping the protocol free for end users. By transitioning away from token grants, the platform aims to build sustainable revenue streams.

A remarkable 7,851% growth in traffic from AI agents and agentic browsers in 2025 signals the rising role of AI in digital interactions. Worldcoin’s new AgentKit toolkit enables AI agents to prove human connection, request human approval for sensitive actions, and participate in commerce securely and transparently.

Major players like Okta, Vercel, Shopify, Coinbase, and Zoom are collaborating on integrations that bring Worldcoin’s verification to enterprise environments. Zoom, in particular, is expected to offer Deep Face verification through its ISV platform in the next six months, representing a significant revenue opportunity.

On the consumer front, Tinder now uses Worldcoin’s verification for user authentication, and Reddit is exploring privacy-preserving human checks to identify automated accounts. This signals a broader trend toward combining privacy with strong identity proofing.

Earlier this year, alliances aimed at boosting AI security reflected growing industry focus on trustworthy AI interactions an area where Worldcoin’s identity verification is a natural fit.
