South Korea’s top exchanges Upbit and Bithumb just rolled out fresh altcoin listings, expanding their trading options significantly. Upbit introduced Conflux (CFX) tokens available on Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT) markets. The token’s deposits and withdrawals kicked off about 90 minutes after the announcement, with spot trading starting at 4 PM on July 31. A key caveat is that transactions only run on the Conflux eSpace network; transfers from other blockchains won’t be accepted. Liquidity concerns might delay trading but for now, the launch is set.
Conflux operates as a Layer-1 blockchain aimed at blending scalability, security, and decentralization. It employs a unique Tree-Graph ledger structure and combines Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanisms. Uniquely, it supports two execution environments: Core Space for its ecosystem and eSpace for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible apps. The team has recently pushed into real-world asset tokenization and stablecoin payment solutions, focusing especially on Asian markets.
Meanwhile, Bithumb unveiled the launch of a KRW trading pair for its Gravity Token (GRVT), based on the Ethereum network. Deposits and withdrawals were activated within two hours of the announcement, with spot trading beginning at 2 PM on the same day. The initial reference price was set at 346 KRW, and the token requires 33 confirmations before transactions finalize. Gravity Token operates as the utility coin for the GRVT ecosystem, designed to unify trading, investing, and payment services under one roof.
