Uniswap just shipped Pools.trade on Robinhood Chain, turning the network into a full memecoin factory. The new platform handles token creation, discovery, and trading on a single venue before locking completed projects into permanent Uniswap v4 liquidity pools. It's a play for retail volume as Robinhood's blockchain fights to keep early momentum.
Two paths to launch
The platform offers two different mechanisms depending on what creators want. Crowd Launch runs auctions for four hours using a time-weighted bidding system, requiring projects to hit a $10,000 valuation before any trading starts. Miss that threshold and the launch cancels, refunding participants. Instant Launch skips the gate entirely, spinning up a bonding curve and going live to trades right away.
Both routes mint one billion tokens per project. Once a launch wraps, the tokens land in a Uniswap v4 pool with permanently locked liquidity. Trading fees get compounded back into the position. Uniswap doesn't charge a separate launchpad fee, though standard 0.25% liquidity costs apply. Token creators can optionally layer a 0.05% fee on top of every trade.
Robinhood Chain's retail engine
Robinhood launched its blockchain in July with Uniswap already baked in across v2, v3, v4, and UniswapX. Now Pools.trade sits alongside those swap venues, letting users mint and trade tokens without leaving the ecosystem. The chain recorded $519.97 million in daily DEX volume during the review period, though weekly numbers tell a rougher story. Seven-day volume hit $2.48 billion while stablecoin reserves topped $597.51 million, but volume tanked 32.81% week-over-week, signaling the early surge has hit real volatility.
The network operates separately from Robinhood's brokerage and trading app, so users need compatible wallets rather than standard Robinhood accounts to access Pools.trade. That friction hasn't stopped memecoin hunters yet. The launch lands as token creation tools proliferate across chains, each chasing retail attention during the current rotation toward smaller assets.
