TRON’s USDT holdings climbed to a fresh peak of $90 billion in the second quarter of 2026, capturing nearly half of the total USDT market. Data from CoinDesk reveals that USDT on TRON now accounts for 47% of the stablecoin's dominance, with the network's stablecoin market share rising to 28.7%.

Daily active users on TRON increased from 3.2 million in Q1 to 3.5 million in Q2, fueling a surge in peer-to-peer stablecoin transfers, which made up 93% of all stablecoin movement on the network the highest among monitored blockchains. Smaller transfers under $1,000 USDT also grew, with TRON’s share climbing to 52% among native-issuance chains.

TRON’s influence extends beyond stablecoins. Crypto payment card volumes handled by the network hit approximately $887 million in Q2, up from $660 million in Q1, reflecting a growing share of 34% in the $2.4 billion global crypto card market. This cements TRON’s position as the leading protocol for crypto card transaction volume.

Additional research by CryptoQuant highlights TRON’s expanding role as an infrastructure layer, supporting not just peer-to-peer payments but also enterprise solutions, cross-chain liquidity routing, and machine-to-machine transactions, laying groundwork for the agentic economy.
