The crypto world braces for a wave of token releases exceeding $630 million during the first week of August 2026. Three major projects Hyperliquid, Succinct, and Ethena are unlocking substantial supplies that could shake short-term market dynamics.

Hyperliquid (HYPE) will open the taps on August 6, unlocking 433,000 tokens valued around $22.7 million. This release represents less than 0.2% of its circulating supply of nearly 455 million HYPE tokens. Built on a proprietary Layer-1 blockchain, Hyperliquid has a decentralized perpetual futures exchange known for lightning-fast transaction speeds and on-chain order books. The bulk of these freshly unlocked tokens will reach core contributors. Historically, Hyperliquid’s actual token claims have trailed below forecasts, suggesting potential moderation in market impact.

Succinct and Ethena’s Large Token Drops

Succinct’s PROVE token will unlock a hefty 208.33 million coins on August 5, worth roughly $34.7 million. This supply increase actually surpasses the entire current circulating amount of 200 million tokens, effectively more than doubling available PROVE on the market. PROVE underpins Succinct’s zero-knowledge proof infrastructure platform built on Ethereum, empowering developers to create zk proofs with standard Rust code no custom cryptography needed. The tokens will be distributed across five areas: ecosystem and R&D, contributors, investors, public allocation, and the foundation.

Ethena, meanwhile, will free up 171.88 million ENA tokens on the same day. While this is only about 2% of its released supply (8.7 billion), the total supply caps at 15 billion. Known for its synthetic dollar stablecoin USDe on Ethereum, Ethena targets stable assets innovation. Such massive unlocks often create waves in price fluctuations and trading volume for all three projects.
