On July 25, a long-dormant Shiba Inu whale ended its silence by purchasing over 30 billion SHIB in one transaction worth $125,270, according to Arkham Intelligence data.
This wallet had been inactive for more than seven months, with its last significant buy of 70 million SHIB back in December 2025. Earlier, it had added over 20 billion SHIB in multiple buys the previous November.
After this fresh purchase, the wallet now holds about 50.28 billion SHIB tokens, valued around $210,710, making SHIB its largest asset by dollar worth and showing ongoing confidence in the token.
This accumulation coincides with a broader trend of SHIB leaving centralized exchanges: around 74 billion SHIB were withdrawn recently, reflecting investors’ preference to store tokens privately rather than on platforms.
In the past 24 hours alone, more than 1 billion SHIB exited exchanges, further tightening supply on trading venues.
Meanwhile, major exchanges are still shuffling huge amounts of SHIB internally. For example, OKX moved 168 billion SHIB from hot wallets to cold storage within 12 hours, while Binance and Wintermute have also relocated billions in recent hours. Such transfers generally serve wallet management rather than direct trades.
These moves have helped SHIB regain some momentum, pushing it back to the 31st largest cryptocurrency by market cap. At writing, SHIB trades at $0.000004211, up 0.69% in a day and 1.38% over the week.
