Stand With Crypto has announced it will publicly score every senator’s vote on the CLARITY Act, a significant digital asset market structure bill, creating a permanent record for 3 million crypto advocates to reference before the November midterm elections.
Tracking Votes to Influence Voter Decisions
The U.S.-based advocacy group declared on July 27 that senators’ voting behavior on the CLARITY Act will be integrated into their public lawmaker scorecards. These scorecards allow cryptocurrency owners to assess where their representatives stand on key crypto legislation.
Stand With Crypto emphasized the importance of the bill, describing it as a source of clarity for millions of crypto users seeking regulatory certainty. The organization called on senators to support the legislation, highlighting that voters in the crypto community are paying close attention to lawmakers’ stances at this key juncture.
Impact on Midterm Elections and Voter Engagement
With fewer than 100 days until the midterms, Stand With Crypto’s recent report reveals that nearly 80% of crypto holders are almost certain to vote. Almost 70% say a candidate’s crypto policy influences their choice, while 73% closely follow lawmakers’ digital asset positions. 59% identify as swing voters, potentially amplifying crypto policy’s sway in tightly contested races.
The inclusion of the CLARITY Act vote on these scorecards adds a new, high-profile metric for voters to evaluate candidates. This move is intended to turn crypto policy into a visible, voter-facing issue and could especially affect races where candidates’ positions on digital assets differ sharply.
Stand With Crypto has been ramping up its campaign efforts to ensure crypto-related votes are front and center in public discourse during this election season.
