Jack McDonald, Ripple's senior vice president of stablecoin, described the partnership as a key move to address long-standing challenges in compliance for international money transfers. He stated, "Together we’re helping build the compliant infrastructure institutions need to move value at global scale while expanding the utility of RLUSD." This strategic investment in Notabene grants Ripple access to a sophisticated network designed for regulated on-chain payments.

Notabene, which reportedly handles over $2 trillion in annualized transactions, will integrate RLUSD into its business-to-business stablecoin payment platform, Notabene Flow. This platform facilitates smooth enterprise payments by providing necessary regulatory compliance checks such as verifying the recipient and the underlying payment purpose before funds are transferred, a feature that CEO Pelle Braendgaard emphasized as critical for institutional adoption.

Braendgaard highlighted that many businesses hesitate to adopt stablecoins due to uncertainty around transaction details and regulatory procedures. He explained that Notabene’s connections with regulated entities and its payment authorization process help address these concerns. The collaboration aims to combine RLUSD's capabilities with Ripple’s global payment network, potentially enabling faster and broader cross-border transactions beyond mere pilot projects.

This alliance seeks to expand the practical use of RLUSD among institutional clients by combining compliant payment infrastructure with digital asset technology. The collaboration opens opportunities for more enterprises to conduct stablecoin payments with better transparency and adherence to regulatory standards.
