Orochi Network and Sumsub have joined forces to support Southeast Asia’s evolving crypto market, focusing on Vietnam’s new licensing regulations. This alliance brings together cutting-edge zero-knowledge data verification with AI-driven compliance tools, tailored to help Web3 and crypto firms navigate growing regulatory demands.

Vietnam’s crypto sector is among the largest retail markets globally and stands at the brink of formal regulation. As the government shifts from unclear rules to concrete licensing frameworks, demand surges for solutions that blend strict compliance with innovative tech.

By partnering, Orochi, which advises the Vietnamese city of Da Nang on its international finance initiatives, integrates Sumsub’s global trust infrastructure. This platform offers businesses a unified layer for identity verification, fraud checks, risk management, and adherence to international standards such as the Travel Rule, covering more than 220 jurisdictions.

Privacy Meets Compliance

The partnership merges Sumsub's compliance engine, including the largest directory of over 2,100 virtual asset service providers, with Orochi’s zkDatabase, a cryptographic tool proving data accuracy without revealing sensitive details. Mary Tran, Orochi’s CEO, emphasized that privacy and compliance no longer have to clash, pointing to Southeast Asia’s real regulatory progress as a window for credible market entry backed by strong cryptographic proof.

Penny Chai, Sumsub’s Vice President for APAC, noted that as Vietnam crystallizes its digital asset regulations, businesses require trustworthy compliance frameworks capable of aligning with both local and global rules, ensuring safe expansion.
