“This round shows strong confidence in our vision,” said a Multiverse spokesperson as the company announced a $70 million funding injection led by Schroders Capital, pushing its valuation past $2 billion. Founded in 2016, the London-based EdTech firm has raised about $570 million in total so far, marking a steady climb fueled by consistent revenue gains and strategic shifts.
Multiverse’s valuation jumped from $1.7 billion in 2022 to $2.1 billion with this latest round. The company logged 50% year-over-year revenue growth for three straight years, a rare feat in the corporate training sector, especially amid tightening budgets. This steady pace highlights growing enterprise demand for upskilling, particularly as organizations look to improve AI competencies across their workforce.
The funding signals more than just expansion capital; it reflects evolving investor appetite for platforms that prepare workers for the AI era. Multiverse has pivoted from tech apprenticeships toward AI-focused training, counting major clients like Microsoft, Mars, and the John Lewis Partnership. Each employee received equity in this round, aligning the team closely with the company’s next phase of growth.
Looking back, Multiverse raised $130 million in 2021 during its Series C at an $875 million valuation, then $220 million in 2022’s Series D to break the $1 billion mark. Now, the $70 million Series E round adds to these gains and supports expansion plans across Europe. The momentum behind this EdTech player underlines persistent demand for workforce transformation in a competitive, fast-changing market.
