Edward Gaming brought back Zhao "JieJie" Lijie on August 3-4 through a player swap with Weibo Gaming, reuniting the veteran jungler with the organization where he spent roughly six years building his legacy. The move happens mid-split during 2026 LPL Split 3, underlining how fluid Chinese esports rosters have become.
JieJie left EDG at the start of 2026 as part of the typical offseason reshuffle. Now, after only months at Weibo, he's heading back. The swap's financial terms and contract details remain undisclosed by both clubs.
EDG's current roster already includes Zdz and Xiaohao following a major overhaul in late 2024 and 2025. Adding JieJie, a three-time LPL World Championship winner from his original stretch with the team, gives the organization a seasoned presence in the jungle for the remainder of the season.
