Bitcoin exchange-traded funds lost a total of 3,170 BTC over the past week, even as Ethereum ETFs gained nearly 38,000 ETH during the same period.

BlackRock’s Ethereum fund ETHA was the main driver behind the strong inflows into ether, contributing 37,424 ETH alone. On the other hand, their Bitcoin fund IBIT accounted for most of the BTC outflows, losing 3,511 coins.

The iShares Bitcoin Trust remains the largest spot Bitcoin ETF but saw significant withdrawals. Grayscale and Bitwise Bitcoin funds also recorded minor losses, while Fidelity’s FBTC and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB managed modest gains, partially offsetting the decline.

Bitcoin hovered near $63,900, marking a 4% weekly increase despite the ETF outflows. Still, Bitcoin ETFs have only regained about 3.3% of the $8.2 billion that exited since mid-July, indicating ongoing cautiousness from institutional investors.

Ethereum ETFs, on the other hand, continue to attract fresh capital. Grayscale’s ETH products added 5,515 ETH, though Fidelity’s FETH fund lost nearly 5,000 ETH. The inflows mark a third consecutive week of gains for Ethereum funds, which pulled in $103.9 million in total inflows during the week ending July 24 more than any other spot crypto ETF.

Beyond ETFs, demand for ether is rising on Wall Street. BitMine’s shares jumped 13% as investors backed its Ethereum treasury strategy, and SharpLink Gaming steadily increased its ETH holdings despite market volatility.

This trend suggests a deeper shift in institutional preference toward Ethereum rather than a short-term trade. Bitcoin ETFs still dominate with $76.22 billion in assets compared to Ethereum’s $9.72 billion, but capital flows are increasingly favoring ether. Ether traded near $1,913, up about 1% for the week.
