BitSafe has launched Decentralization Manager, a new open-source framework designed to simplify the development of decentralized financial apps on the Canton Network. The project secured more than $1 million in funding from the Canton Foundation Development Fund, receiving 8.5 million $CC tokens to support its growth. This public beta release offers developers tools to create resilient, multi-operator controlled products without building complex governance and custody infrastructure from scratch.
Infrastructure Designed for Institutional Standards
The Canton Network is growing as a key player in bringing institutional capital on-chain. However, institutional-grade applications require strict audit trails and distributed trust, which previously forced each development team to build their own threshold custody, governance, and audit layers. Decentralization Manager now provides reusable frameworks that meet those needs and help institutions use Canton's privacy-centric design while minimizing operational risks through distributed control.
Independent security auditing by Quantstamp adds confidence to the platform’s robustness. The framework includes pre-built solutions for token issuance and custody management, enabling new possibilities such as multi-signature wallets and tokenized real-world assets.
Use Cases and Potential Applications
Decentralization Manager supports a range of on-chain products and services including:
- Token issuance for wrapped cryptoassets, stablecoins, and real-world assets
- Multi-party control custody and wallet solutions that eliminate reliance on single custodians
- Governance of tokenized real-world assets and securities
- Institutional-grade decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending platforms, and structured financial products
By streamlining these components, the framework aims to accelerate adoption of decentralized finance among institutions. Developers can now focus on building user-facing features instead of foundational infrastructure. This advancement may also complement other innovations in tokenization and institutional finance on blockchain.
