The Canton Foundation has injected over $1 million to launch Decentralization Manager, a new open-source framework designed to streamline the creation of decentralized financial apps on Canton Network. This public beta release, backed by an 8.5 million $CC grant, aims to ease the burden on developers who previously had to build key infrastructure from the ground up.

Simplifying Institutional-Grade Decentralization

Canton Network has become a key backbone for institutions integrating real-world capital and operations with blockchain technology. Until now, every team needed to develop threshold custody, governance, and audit features independently to meet stringent institutional standards. Decentralization Manager now provides these components as reusable building blocks, allowing developers to focus on their applications rather than infrastructure complexities.

Quantstamp has independently audited the framework, assuring solid security and risk mitigation by distributing operational control across multiple independent operators. The platform supports key functionalities including token issuance, custody solutions with multi-signature wallets, and tokenization of real-world assets, enabling use cases like DEXs, lending, and other structured financial products.

First Use Case and Future Potential

CBTC, Canton’s first non-native asset, is already live using Decentralization Manager, boasting over 10 million transactions. Node operators managing CBTC benefit from a share of on-chain fee revenue, illustrating tangible incentives created by the framework. This system now extends such opportunities network-wide, simplifying the launch of decentralized applications and asset management.
