Max Guise, Block’s Bitcoin Product Lead, explained that these flaws could have caused some wallets to produce keys that appear predictable instead of truly random, raising serious security concerns.
This revelation follows a detailed report highlighting how these weaknesses might have allowed unauthorized access and draining of funds from non-Bitkey wallets. The findings underline the critical importance of solid key generation methods in safeguarding Bitcoin holdings.
