Bitmine Immersion Technologies continues stacking Ethereum, recently scooping up 9,946 ETH in just one week. This boosts their total Ethereum stash to approximately 5.78 million coins, valued at around $11.8 billion. The average price for these purchases was $1,948 per ETH.

The firm’s overall balance sheet comprises not only crypto assets but also cash, marketable securities, and strategic equity investments. Their Ethereum holdings now represent nearly 4.8% of the 120.7 million ETH circulating supply. A significant portion 85% of this Ethereum has been locked in through Bitmine’s institutional staking platform, MAVAN (Made in American VAlidator Network).

Staking as a core income driver

Bitmine projects staking will generate substantial revenue streams, estimating around $254 million annually from staking returns, with a yield near 2.65%. This suggests the company relies on more than just price appreciation for future gains.

Thomas "Tom" Lee, Bitmine’s chairman, mentioned an uptick in their equity buybacks, citing a strategic move to react to improved crypto market indicators. Recently, Bitmine repurchased about 6.1 million shares, up from 5.5 million the previous week. Lee highlighted the ETH/BTC ratio reaching a three-month peak of 0.30, signaling Ethereum's recent outperformance against Bitcoin. This momentum supports their optimism toward further ETH price increases, with key resistance levels identified at $2,000 and $2,500.

The company’s strategy reflects a broader bullish outlook on Ethereum, combining accumulation, staking income, and equity repurchases to capitalize on market trends.
