BitMart announced it will cease all trading activities and fully close its crypto platform by January 31, 2027. The exchange began winding down operations on July 26, 2026, halting new user registrations and suspending deposits in both fiat and cryptocurrencies.

Spot and futures trading will officially stop on August 26, 2026, followed by the gradual retirement of investment services like staking, lending, and Launchpad. Although the platform will be closed, users can still access their accounts temporarily to withdraw assets and view records.

The company urges all users to complete KYC verification, close open positions, and request withdrawals well before the August deadline. Withdrawal processing may face delays due to required compliance checks and potential blockchain risk analyses.

BitMart, established in 2017 by Sheldon Xia, is the latest crypto firm to shut down amid ongoing market challenges that have pressured many companies to restructure or exit. This move follows BitMEX's recent announcement to end its operations by September 2026.
