It measures performance with five core metrics that focus on how well AI handles tool orchestration in practical scenarios. Claude Opus 5 Max delivered a net improvement score of 11.88% and confirmed success rate of 17.56%, along with the highest praise-to-complaint ratio on the board at 25.63%. The High variant was close behind with an 11.73% net improvement and 16.60% success rate.

What Sets Opus 5 Apart

Opus 5 marks a significant upgrade over the previous Opus 4.8 model with major gains in deep reasoning, handling long-horizon tasks, and operational efficiency. It has a massive one-million-token context window and can generate up to 128,000 output tokens. The model also offers a speed-optimized mode for quicker responses when depth is less critical.
